Our biggest problem is with fund raising. We continually need money to cover the costs of veterinary bills and food. The cats that come to us have the best of veterinary attention. If they need expensive treatment or surgery they receive it no matter what it costs. All the cats are blood tested and fully vaccinated. Sometimes it is not possible to pass the full cost of treatment on to the new owner. Some of our residents need on going treatment for the rest of their lives. If you would like to make a one off donation to the work of the rescue please feel free to do so. Please send your donation to Pauline (see our contact details). Why not join our fundraiser Ann McGrory at various venues throughout the country. Ann raises our profile at as many cat shows as she can attend, she works so this is a great thing she is doing for us. At the shows she sells a variety of animal themed articles; cushions throws, blankets and much more. Alternatively perhaps you would like to raise some money to help us in our work. There are many different ways to raise money, coffee mornings are popular, and of course the car boot sale, if you have any other fund raising ideas… give them a go or let us know so we can give them a try Having raised some money send us your 'ill gotten gains'! You may even like to remember us in your will!! If you would like to see more of our work why not visit us and stay in our a holiday cottage which is attached to the centre (see link on the left). |
Moomin
is one of our
TV 'stars'. She had been brought in to the RSPCA in Leeds by some
children. When she arrived with us she looked like a kitten, we
later found out she was about two years old and was suffering from
a port- systemic shunt, which meant that nothing could pass through
her liver. |
