All the cats that come into the St Francis Persian Cat Rescue are checked by a Veterinary Surgeon. They are blood tested for Feline Leukaemia and Feline AIDS.

The cats are spayed or neutered and vaccinated against Flu, Enteritis, and Feline Leukaemia. Teeth are checked and dental work carried out if needed. Any other conditions that require attention are also treated regardless of cost.

Before a cat is adopted from the rescue a home check and veterinary check is made. All being well, after signing an adoption form, they may then be placed in their new home.

We make a charge usually about £150 for the adoption of cats; this is put towards the the running costs of the rescue. This is not in proportion to any veterinary work that may have been carried out.

It is a condition of the adoption that the cat is always returned to us if circumstances change and the adopter can no longer look after the cat.

Aslan is a large Cream boy, who at 7 years old has already had 7 homes! He has a permanent home with us and is seeking your help to keep him in food and veterinary care.
